Poetry Form Tutorial: American Cinquain

I started writing poetry 23 years ago and published my first poetry book 17 years ago. During those in between years, I immersed myself in learning different poetry forms. Like most poets, I started with traditional (rhyme) poetry and moved onto free verse, which makes up the bulk of my poems.

I’ve decided to put together some poetry form tutorials for those who may be interested. The books will be released as ebooks and all of them will be in pdf format for easier printing. Practice sheets will be included. The first tutorial is for the American Cinquain. The tutorial includes the following:

1. Instructions for writing an American Cinquain, American Reverse Cinquain, Mirror Cinquain, and Butterfly Cinquain
2. Examples for each of the four poetry forms
3. A practice sheet for each of the four poetry forms
